Hoppy Easter!

Today is Isaiah's second Easter.  It really snuck up on me this year, with our hectic week...and someone isn't feeling the bunny ears like he did last year....

Thankfully Carl took one for the team this year...

Last year the Easter bunny had quite a bit of fun hiding Isaiah's Easter basket and he went all out again this year.  (Recap to come later this week.)

Although I am a bit sidetracked with thoughts of Isaiah's upcoming surgery, today I will do my best to put it to the back of my mind and enjoy everything about Easter with our family.  This year, Isaiah will understand more, enjoy more, and experience more.  This year Isaiah will move independently thanks to his Scooot.  He will eat, laugh, play, and pray.

We'll be spending the afternoon with our extended family making memories.

If you are celebrating Easter, have you ever played Upper Upper?  No?  You should.  It's a crazy game that Dave's family has played for years.  It basically involves smashing Easter eggs (which, FYI, Isaiah can totally say "egg" now!).  Family members go up against each other one at a time with their chosen egg.  They smack their eggs together and whoever walks away with a crack-less egg goes on to the next round.  According to some rules, the loser can join back in after they've eaten their losing egg.

Dave takes this game very seriously.

Look out, family, Isaiah is coming for you.

If you celebrate Easter, we hope you enjoy the day.

He is risen.
