One Week

Holy Moly.  We'll be meeting Isaiah in one week.  Can you handle it? (Can I handle it?)

I couldn't resist using this ridiculous picture. (I hope it made you laugh.)

Last week my sister asked me something.  She asked me if there is anything that we need/want for Isaiah that she/my parents can get for us.  Seriously, they've done so much for us already, so, because I'm one of those people, I asked why in the world she wants to spend more on us.  She said that usually people bring a gift when they come to meet the baby.

And then I thought about it.  Duh, she's right.  (Don't tell her I said that.)

So, in thinking of etiquette, I have a request.  I'm worried it sounds rude and I'm sorry if it does.  If you are a friend or family member who plans to come visit us in the hospital, please don't worry about bringing a gift.   (Side note: We'll post on facebook when that's possible- and we'll ask that you call/text when you plan to do so to make sure you'll be able to visit Isaiah.)

If you are a friend or family member that plans to visit us at home, please don't worry about bringing a gift.

If you are the type of person that loves to bring a gift to the new baby, please instead consider donating to Team Isaiah.  Team Isaiah is running a HALF MARATHON in honor of Isaiah (um, I can hardly walk a 5K when not pregnant...and I can barely walk up a set of steps when I am, ha).

Team Isaiah is doing this to raise money for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation (OIF)- this is the first place Dave and I turned to to find out exactly what OI is.  OIF is something we will turn to for the rest of our lives.  It is an amazing foundation that offers education, awareness, support, and works to research to find treatments and a cure.

Dave and I both know so many of you, especially our family and close friends, have already done SO much for us.  Please don't feel like you have to do this...but if you are the type that feels like you need to do something for us, this is it.

Thank you so much for loving us, praying for us, and being you.  This journey has already taught us how amazing the people in our lives are and how wonderful people that we've never even met can be.  We're so very lucky.

ONE WEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!

-Vicky
