Feeding an OI Baby

There are some signature tools that many parents of babies with OI have found extremely helpful when it comes time for baby to eat.

If your baby gets a bottle, many of us have found success using the Dr. Browns system.  It really does make a difference in the amount of air Isaiah took in compared to other bottles, and he just took to that nipple well.

When it's time to sit in a highchair, you want to make sure you have a reclining chair, like the Fisher Price Space Saver High Chair.
Another great one is the Peg Perego.  It's well padded and reclines.  It's on wheels and the pad comes in a good number of choices in pattern/color. :)

We found success with a chair that I was adamant to have, the Tripp Trapp by Stokke.

You can get it with a tray now! But the reason I love it is because Isaiah sits right at the table with us.  Honestly, when we first started using this chair, I don't know if I'd recommend it for severe OI babies, it took some serious time to learn how to get Isaiah into it, but now, it's amazing.  It's the place that he sits with the most support, it's the place he learned to nod his head.  He loves his chair because he's right there with us.
